Join us Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, 8 p.m., in Varner Recital Hall on the campus of Oakland University for an amazing evening with jazz violinist and OU alumna Regina Carter, who releases her latest album, “Reverse Thread,” this spring. Her collection of infectious African folk melodies is given a beautiful, contemporary interpretation, as only Regina can provide. She will be joined by band members Yacouba Sissoko, kora; Gary Versace, accordion; Chris Lightcap, bass; and Alvester Garnett, drums & percussion.
Tickets are $25 General Admission. A limited number of $50 Priority and $75 Premium reserved seats are available. Premium tickets include Afterglow with Ms. Carter.
