Inforum announces western Michigan events

On Sept. 30, Inforum welcomes keynote speaker Mary Jane Mapes, award-winning leadership/communication consultant and author of You CAN Teach a Pig to Sing –How to Create a Great Relationship with Anybody on Friday, September 30, 7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., at Amway World Headquarters, 7575 E. Fulton Street in Ada.

Tickets are $50 members, $75 non-members and include a copy of the book.

On Oct. 11, Connie Duckworth, ARZU’s Founder and CEO, will speak about how she went from being a partner and managing director at Goldman Sachs to the dirt roads of Afghanistan. ARZU is an innovative model of social entrepreneurship that empowers Afghan women by providing fair labor, artisan-based employment and access to education and healthcare. The event starts at 11:30 a.m. at Steelcase Town Hall, 901 – 44th St. SE in Grand Rapids.
