Starting April 9, a number of metro Detroit businesses will be accepting donations of gently used, career clothing for women who are hoping to enter the work force.
Since 2003, the Lighthouse of Oakland County's Career Dress program has helped more than 2,600 women feel confident when they go on an interview. Clothing should be no more than five years old and suitable for women aged 18-25. Make sure items are clean and on hangers. Items needed include:
Destination Style Boutique, 29107 Northwestern Hwy., Southfield; Esprit Women’s Health, 1103 N Main St. #E, Royal Oak; Lighthouse of Oakland County, 46156 Woodward Avenue, Pontiac; EmbroidMe, 27857 Orchard Lake Rd. in Farmington Hills; Lolly Ella Jewelry, 6706 Orchard Lake Road, West Bloomfield; PURE Salon & Spa, 39800 West 14 Mile Rd., Walled Lake; Salon 59, 4823 Highland Rd., Waterford; Seung–ni Fit Club, 41430 Grand River Ave., Novi; Time for Blinds, 9633 Highland Rd., White Lake; and Wachler Jewelry, 100 South Old Woodward Ave., Birmingham.
Volunteers are needed to sort the clothes collected. A sorting party will take place at the Lighthouse of Oakland County on Tuesday, April 19, 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Call 248-920-6100 x2362 to volunteer.

- Purses, jewelry
- Closed toe shoes
- Coats, hats, gloves
