Michigan Civil Rights Commission Hosts Bullying Forum

The Michigan Civil Rights Commission will hold a public hearing on bullyilng after its regular business meeting on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, 2:30 p.m., in room L-150 of Cadillac Place in Detroit.

Those who wish to address the Commission on civil rights issues will have an opportunity to speak during the public comment period at the end of the regular meeting.

 From 4-6 p.m., the Commission will hold a public forum on bullying in the same room.

During the public forum, the Commission will discuss and take public comment on bullying. Guest speakers with expertise on bullying and related issues will be present. Both written and verbal testimony will be accepted.

Cadillac Place is located at 3054 W. Grand Boulevard, Detroit. 

Public parking is available across the street connected to the New Center Building, in the Lothrup Ramp and the Fisher Theater Ramp. Limited metered parking is available in the blocks surrounding the building. Additional parking is available in secure lots on West Grand Boulevard.



Additional public forums will be hosted by the Michigan Civil Rights Commission, tentatively slated to take place in Grand Rapids and the Upper Peninsula later this year. Details will be shared at michigan.gov/mdcr once they are final.
