St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO) will offer two, free, educational, women’s health sessions May 20 and 26, 2010, as part of a national campaign entitled, “da Vinci Women’s Health: Small Steps. Healthier Lives.”
The sessions will focus on diet, exercise and gynecologic health and are designed to encourage women to take small steps toward living healthier lives and educate them about the importance of taking control of their health.
The speakers will discuss preventative health measures, risks and treatment options for benign gynecologic issues, as well as encourage women to get checkups.
On Thursday, May 20, SJMO Obstetrician/Gynecologist Paul J. Corsi, MD, will speak at 6:30 p.m. at Curves for Women, 250 N. Ortonville Rd., Ortonville.
SJMO Obstetrician/Gynecologist Ethan N. Goldstein, MD, will join Dr. Corsi at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, at the SJMO Franco Communications Center on the hospital campus, 44405 Woodward Ave., Pontiac.
Dr. Corsi earned his medical degree at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed an Obstetrics/Gynecology residency at Hutzel Women’s Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Corsi is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has several awards, honors, contributions to professional publications and presentations to his credit.
Dr. Goldstein also earned his medical degree at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beaumont Hospitals. He has won many awards, written for professional journals and delivered several presentations.
Women age 35-60 are invited. Admission is free, and walk-ins are welcome.
