For @MiWomensForum Twitter friends, a few Follow Friday suggestions

Love it or hate it, Twitter really is all about shared energy. Every social media expert worth listening to will tell you that the site runs on the exchange of ideas, and to accomplish anything, you must share generously and contribute information that people find useful.

That's why Follow Friday has always bothered me. It just isn't possible to effectively promote someone else with nothing but a name. I know the theory; people are supposed to click through to the profile. But with such a massive sea of @ signs, what's a tweeter to do?

So with a nod to Maverick Mom's affirming blog post, which led me to this decision, here's my first Expanded Follow Friday, a link to which will be posted on the @MiWomensForum profile. Enjoy!
  • @SandyFowler, @JDavis55, @thirdeyegrp and @reclaimu are all part of a fantastic group of caring professionals who are touching the lives of others in a positive way, helping people move out of chaos and confusion and into lives filled with purpose and passon. They've always got positive and uplifting things to say, as well as links to helpful articles and resources.
  • @knitmeapony shares very interesting links - and, apparently, my feelings about certain public officials. And that's all I'm going to say.
  • @MomGYB - three mom-preneurs combine informational posts with a steady stream of Detroit area and Michigan love. And they're doing a Twitter workshop in Royal Oak September 29. Details at http://www.momgyb.com/
I'll have more Follow Friday love next week!
